⚙ CALCULATOR
Beat Rate Calculator
Enter a beat rate — or pick one of the common reference frequencies — and get back the beats per second, the theoretical daily tolerance, the seconds-hand step angle and the escapement tooth counts that make it work.

What the numbers assume
- Higher frequency divides time more finely, so it recovers better from positional disturbance — but it multiplies the number of impulse events per day, so wear rises with it.
- A 4 Hz quartz movement steps 8 times per second; a 4 Hz mechanical movement beats 8 times per second. The similarity is numerical, not mechanical.
These are estimates from the values entered, given to make the relationships visible. They are not measurements, and they do not certify a movement. Verify against the actual movement and its service documentation.
